U22 XT is a 2-in/2-out, 24-bit/96 kHz USB audio interface by ESI. It’s a compact and powerful unit, which is a good choice for musicians, singers, composers and producers.
The front panel has a combo XLR/TRS input, designed to connect microphones or line instruments. It has an independent Gain knob and a +48V switch, which enables phantom power. Channel 2 is a high impedance (Hi-Z) input, perfect for low impedance instruments, such as electric guitar. It also has an independent volume control.
Zero-latency monitoring is possible on U22 XT; just adjust it using the Mix knob. A Mic/Hi-Z switch will control which source will be heard through the speakers and headphone. you can set set it to enable Mic, instrument/guitar or both.
The front panel also has a Master volume knob, and a TRS headphone jack with independent Gain control.
The rear panel shows two additional RCA inputs. Those are perfect for connecting the interface to devices such as CD Player, DJ mixers, DJ controllers and more. It’s possible to use either front or back inputs (not simultaneously), by a Front/Back switch.
U22 XT also has TRS left and right outputs, as well as USB 2.0 port for power and connection.
Since the unit has no 5-pin Midi In/Out jacks, you won’t be able to connect a 5-pin midi keyboard to it. However, you will be able to use any USB midi keyboard or midi controller just by connecting it to any available USB port on your computer.
