The new T4 is a 4-in/4-out, 24-bit, 96kHz audio interface by Resident Audio. The model is equipped with a Thunderbolt connection, which is a high-speed technology, responsible for near-zero audio latency on both recording and playback.
In the front panel, there are four analog XLR/TRS combo inputs with independent gain controls. There’s a colored led around each knob that indicates the signal level. An instrument/line switch makes it possible to connect both microphones and instruments. The interface also has a mix knob, making it possible to balance the audio signal between the analog inputs and the audio coming from the computer. A large Monitor knob will control either the headphones output level and the outputs levels.
T4 comes with eight high-quality analog preamps – two per channel – and excellent A/D D/A converters.
The rear panel shows Midi In/Out jacks, as well as the Thunderbolt port. At the right, the four analog outputs, as well as the phones jack. Output 3 is also a second phone jack when T4 is operating in Stereo Mix mode.
