Komplete Audio 6 is a 4-in/4-out, 24-bit, 96 kHz, USB-powered audio interface from Native Instruments. It’s built in a strong and shiny metal casing and comes with high-quality preamps, phantom power and a set of music software and instruments. It’s a good option for musicians, DJs and producers.
The front panel shows two Combo XLR/TRS analog inputs with independent gain controls and an Instrument/Line switch. There’s a Monitor section, with a Volume knob and the direct monitoring feature, which can be activated by switching the On button. The Monitor section also has a Mono/Stereo switch.
At the left, there’s the Phones section, with a Volume knob, and a 1/4″ TRS jack. The toggle switch 1/2 – 3/4 allows the user to choose between monitoring 1/2 or 3/4 outputs through the headphones.
The rear panel includes a 48V phantom power switch, a USB connection, Midi In/Out jacks, as well as Main 1/2 and 3/4 balanced outputs. The 3/4 inputs are also located on the rear panel. The unit comes with additional 5/6 SPDIF input and output, making it possible to connect it to digital equipment.
The top panel shows a Main Volume control for the main outputs (1/2) and also a set of LEDs, which will indicate the status of each connection. At the left, there are Input 1, 2, 3 and 4 LEDs: when green, they indicate incoming signal on a given channel. The Output 1/2 and 3/4 LEDs, similarly, will indicate outgoing audio signal. The same occurs with the SPDIF sync led.
At the right, there are status LEDs for the Midi In/Out jacks, as well as phantom power, USB, monitor, and phones.
